Immigrants do pay taxes in the form of income, property, sales and taxes at the state and federal level. Students show that immigrants pay between $90 and $140 billion a year in taxes.

Within tenyears of arrival more than 75% of immigrants speak English well. Greater than 33% of immigrants are naturalized citizens.

I know who you aaare (FYI, that's supposed to represent the 'neener, neener, neener' tone of voice)! Thanks for sharing the stats. I would just like to add that in my experience teaching ESL, more immigrants would like to learn to speak better English, faster, but there are not enough programs available in most places for the demand.
